Heart of Avalon Outdoors

If you’re looking for a self-catering holiday let in Glastonbury that offers your family plenty of opportunity to spend time outdoors, then look no further than Heart of Avalon.

One of the biggest bonuses of Heart of Avalon is the large and spacious walled garden; in fact, it is this very feature that makes this property a real gem amongst holiday lets.

This mature, established garden stretches from the back of the property around the side, and is entirely enclosed by a tall wall on one side and fencing on the others. With a south facing aspect, the garden gets the best of the daylight and sunshine, all day long.

The garden features some mature shrubbery that adds texture and colour, yet still has a large central lawn area that is perfect for running about on, sunbathing on, or just sitting out on in the summer. Colour and vibrancy are added by strategically placed flower pots, planters and hanging baskets, which make the garden a pleasure to look at and sit out in at any time of year.

A patio area provides further options for sitting outdoors during the long summer days, giving you and your family the ability to eat al fresco or simply enjoy the British sunshine. With patio doors that open straight off the open plan dining room and you can enjoy the garden as an extra room on the house, almost all year round.

Whether you are looking to dine al fresco or simply sit in the garden and read – or play – Heart of Avalon is the perfect self-catering holiday let that will encourage your family and friends to come together and enjoy nature. Plus, as it’s fully enclosed, you can enjoy privacy.

Local Area

Heart of Avalon is perfectly located to take advantage of all that Glastonbury has to offer.

A vibrant historic town, Glastonbury is one of the best places in the UK to visit for a holiday, even if we do say so ourselves! With sites of historic significance – such as the Abbey or Chalice Well – plenty of outdoor places to explore – such as the world famous Glastonbury Tor – or annual events such as Glastonbury Music Festival or the Goddess Conference – there really is something for everyone in Glastonbury.

For those who love shopping, the bustling high street and regular markets – still very much in existence after centuries of tradition – offer retail therapy with a difference, whilst the new-age atmosphere and Christian heritage provide something for religious enthusiasts and atheists alike.

Or, if you’re just looking to take long walks and explore the great British countryside, the acres of rolling green landscape surrounding the town provide a haven for even the most eager rambler. A quick walk up the Tor, anyone?

Situated in the middle of all this history and culture, Heart of Avalon is just a short 5 minute walk (300 metres with no hills) from the historic High Street, so is remarkably close to all the local amenities. Our guests can experience the best of both worlds, by being surrounded by peace and quiet on the secluded cul-de-sac, yet still only a few minutes away from the shops, a supermarket and plenty of delicious food outlets.

Whether you want to do a big food shop at the conveniently located Morrisons supermarket (400 metres away, through a quick short cut), get takeaway from one of the nearby outlets.
